Teacher Information: Teaching art to children is one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m presently the Art Instructor for TK-5th grade at Double Peak School and freely admit to feeling guilty at times for having a career that pays me to do what I so enjoy doing. Introducing children to new materials, techniques and reinforcing their natural creativity is more than a job, it’s a joy to watch a child grow from “I’m not good at Art” to “Wow, I DID that!”
Besides teaching Art, I love hiking with my own dear family and our pets while exploring creek beds, mountains, meadows, you name it ...... if we can hike it together we will. My camera is never far from my side when we’re out in nature because I see nature’s art all around us and I’m compelled to capture the moment. Soccer also plays a huge role in our family life so we’re outdoors most of the time.
I’m excited and looking forward to meeting your child and creating a fun and colorful learning environment!
